Would Federal Government Negotiations on Drugs Lower the Costs?

Per the federal government’s Congressional Budget Office, there will be “negligible effect” on allowing the government to negotiate drug prices for the Medicare Part D program. Although the government negotiates for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the list of drugs on their formulary list is limited and would restrict Medicare beneficiaries’ choices on treatment.
