National Task Force on Opioid Policies
By a vote 412 to 4, the House on Wednesday approved a bill to create a national task force on opioid polices. The task force will be led by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and will have five years to set national guidelines for doctors prescribing opioids to rein in the use of unneeded medications that could lead to potentially deadly addictions.
