The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is arming the states with a step-by-step emergency plan to respond to the first locally transmitted cases of Zika; however, it should be noted that Zika has already arrived in U.S. with a reported 691 known cases and Puerto Rico has more than 1,300 cases.
