Are ID cards obstacles for voters, but not for getting medical benefits?

While the country debates between benefits and obstacles of requiring identification at voting sites during elections days, a new law is being discussed that would establish an identification card for Medicare beneficiaries. The Medicare Common Access Card Act of 2015 would reduce the likelihood for identity theft and other unlawful use of beneficiary identifying information. Critics say this is the same reasons some states laws, such as the Texas Voter ID Law, would require ID for voting. Read more…
