Medicare Special Enrollment Period

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recognizes that there has been much confusion for people transitioning from an Affordable Care Act plan into Medicare. To address this issue, CMS will be allowing a special enrollment period (deadline for this special enrollment period and equitable relief is Sept. 30) for Part B for people who enrolled into Medicare Part A only, continued their ACA Marketplace plan and declined Medicare Part B.
