Mental health care unbalanced: Psychiatrists too fond of pharmaceuticals

The current crisis in mental health in our province is easily understood in the context of professional monopoly. In the same way engineers and architects refused to work together in the construction of school buildings — with engineers producing some of the worst concrete block schools in the history of design, leaving many architects unemployed — our psychiatrists and psychologists suffer the same kind of professional disagreement.
