Who pays for custodial care?

There are a lot of services traditional Medicare doesn’t cover and nursing home care is one of them. Under Medicare Part A, you are typically covered for care, if that care is medically necessary, in a certified skilled nursing facility for a maximum of 100 days. However if your needs are what’s known as custodial care, you typically won’t be eligible for coverage under Medicare.
