Aetna to pass along drugmaker rebates starting in 2019

Aetna Inc. announced starting in 2019 they will automatically pass on drugmaker rebates to about three million commercial members at the point of sale. In the past, Aetna had opposed the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services idea to mandate that Part D sponsors pass on a percentage of rebates to customers at the point of sale.
