HMOs are making a comeback
According to PwC’s Health Research Institute, medical costs have increased roughly six percent a year for the past half-decade outpacing U.S. economic growth and eroding workers’ wage gains. So some employers wary of asking workers to pay even more are trying to rebuild their health programs. One way is to bring back health maintenance organizations (HMOs) but reviving the model with new technology and better customer service to help avoid the mistakes of the past. Read article here…
