A unit of Johnson & Johnson to pay $360 million to resolve charity kickback probe
The Justice Department announced that Johnson & Johnson until will pay the U.S. government $360 million to resolve an investigation into its financial support of a charity that helped Medicare patients cover out-of-pocket drug cots. The government said a subsidiary of J&J used a charity as a conduit to improperly pay the copay obligations of Medicare patients using its pulmonary artery hypertension treatments. The government has stopped the charity, Caring Voice Coalition (CVC) because of concerns drugmakers had improper influence over it. Read article here…
