Different factors that will affect your health care costs in retirement

We all have read the headlines saying we will need $285,000 for health expenses, not including nursing home or other long-term care when we retire.  The approach of presenting people with a huge, perhaps unattainable, figure is terrifying to most people. According to a survey by the University of Michigan, 45 percent of people in their 50s and early 60s have little or no confidence that they will be able to afford their health care costs.  The attached article takes a more realistic way to look at health care costs in retirement.
