Pharma tests real-time platform to forestall drug shortages

In response to the hundreds of drug shortages hitting the pharmaceutical industry each quarter, Merck KGaA plans to launch a pilot project with TraceLink, using real-time data points in the company’s supply chain to more accurately predict future demand for its drugs. According to the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, so far in the third quarter, there have been 212 FDA-reported drug shortages. Read article here…
