Medicare Advantage continues to grow

According to the latest data published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicare Advantage plans started the year with 24 million enrollees, or about 9.2 percent more than they had a year ago.  Currently, the share of all Medicare enrollees covered by a Medicare Advantage plan is 35 percent, an increase from 34 percent last year.
