GAO found 62 percent of states had incorrect or incomplete income information in their Medicaid eligibility determinations

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has conducted the first review of state Medicaid eligibility determinations since 2014 and found 62 percent of states had incorrect or incomplete income or asset information in their eligibility determinations.  The report continued to explain the accuracy of eligibility decisions has implications for federal and state spending.
