Do I need Medicare if I have FEHB?
You are a retired federal employee turning 65 and thinking whether or not to sign up for Medicare Part A since you paid for it or stay on the FEHB program? First let’s discuss the parts of Medicare: Part A only covers hospital costs, Part B covers physicians’ services and you must pay a premium, and Part D provides prescription drug coverage and you must pay a premium.
