How Medicare monthly premiums are paid and when
Medicare has multiple parts and depending on the part(s) of Medicare you have; you may have a monthly premium(s) you’ll need to pay. If you are already receiving Social Security or RRB benefits your monthly premiums will be automatically deducted from your monthly benefit payment, but if you are not receiving these benefits, you will get a bill for your premiums. That bill will either be monthly or quarterly depending on which part(s) of Medicare you are paying for and note, these bills are paid in advance of your coverage.
