Happy 55th birthday Medicare

On July 30, 1965, Medicare was signed into law and began offering coverage in 1966. During the first year, 19 million Americans enrolled in Medicare as of 2020 over 62 million Americans were enrolled in the program. This year, Medicare is celebrating its 55th year of providing health insurance to older Americans. Some things have changed, and some things have stayed the same.
