CMS, Health Care Community Develop Standardized Quality Measures

A collaboration between the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has agreed on a set of “core measures” designed to standardize and simplify the quality assessment of provider services. The core measures include metrics for a variety of application and specialty areas, including “accountable care organizations, patient-centered medical homes (PCMHs), and primary care,” the CMS reported in a statement released two days ago.
