UnitedHealth hits $1B affordable housing investment milestone

UnitedHealth Group has surpassed $1 billion in affordable housing investments since the company began prioritizing housing developments in 2011.
Through UnitedHealthcare and Optum, the company has helped build affordable and mixed income housing across 31 states and Washington, D.C. using Low-Income Housing Investment Tax Credits, Community Reinvestment Act loans, and direct investments, according to a May 15 news release.
