The Medicare Drug Payment Model Worsens a Bad Situation
According to the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the proposal by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services that will change the way Medicare pays for drugs under Part B program could/will hurt oncologists.
ASCO states that oncologists do not receive enough reimbursement from Medicare on many cancer drugs to cover the cost of acquire them. They believe this is a misguided attempt to control the high cost of drugs by putting the burden on the backs of the providers. Read the article here……
