New Warnings on Pain Medicines.

The Food and Drug Administration’s decision to require a black box warning (the strongest warning that FDA puts on a drug) on all fast-acting opioid pain medicines is the latest step in the effort to fight the growing epidemic of opioid addiction.

The black-box warnings are aimed at more than 200 of these fast-acting or immediate release drug formulations which represent ninety percent (90%) of all opioid prescriptions e.g. oxycodone, hydrocodone and morphine. Read article here….
