Medicare Advantage Cost Savings Highlighted in Study
Duke University Press recently published a Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law article assessing savings from Medicare Advantage plans, particularly compared with the traditional fee-for-service (FFS) model used by Original Medicare. A post today by AHIP (America’s Health Insurance Plans…the U.S. national trade association for health insurance) provides an overview of study results indicating that “…increased MA enrollment is associated with statistically significant lower spending in FFS — a spillover effect that can help strengthen Medicare’s long-term sustainability.” Read the full AHIP article here…
