What is a FDA Drug Voucher?

The Food and Drug Administration awards “priority review vouchers” to drug companies that win regulatory approval of a treatment for certain tropical diseases. The companies can later redeem this voucher to fast track the FDA approval process for another drug that would be used to treat any illness. However, there are loopholes to this program.
