Drug Spending in General, Insulin in Particular Raise Ire of the Public

It’s certainly no secret that the escalation in drug costs over the past few years has caught the attention–and raised the angst–of many sectors of the public dependent on medicine. But one product in particular–the Epipen–generated an incredible amount of controversy last year. In fact, insulin in general has seen a doubling in price over the past five years, with co-pays and related fees showing even greater increases in recent years.
