CMS provides additional ECCP funding

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) yesterday announced additional funding related to their partnership with Enhanced Care and Coordination Providers (ECCP). The new program, titled Initiative to Reduce Avoidable Hospitalizations among Nursing Facility Residents, is scheduled to commence in October of 2016 will allow for testing of a new payment model, and was previewed in an article by Michael Sandler, writing for www.modernhealthcare.com.
