Should you drop Medicare for your employer health coverage?

According to the latest available data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics by 2026, about 30 percent of individuals ages 65 through 74 and about 11 percent of the 75 and over crowd are expected to be in the labor market. If you qualify to participate in your employer’s healthcare plan and that plan is acceptable primary coverage, you are permitted to drop Medicare and re-enroll down the road; however, just because you can, it doesn’t mean you should.
