Nearly 40 percent of people will eventually be diagnosed with some form of cancer at some time in their life according to the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Result (SEER) program at the National Cancer Institute. Increasing age is a common risk factor for many cancers, it is easy to believe that the 65-74 age range had the most cancer diagnoses from 2007 to 2011.  Medicare is responsible for insuring many cancer patients and because of this, Medicare has made sure to provide substantial coverage for cancer treatment.
