Medicare exploring ways to enable reimbursement for telehealth Diabetes Prevention Programs
In response to a letter sent late last October by 19 senators, CMS officials are reportedly looking at allowing Medicare reimbursement for Diabetes Prevention Programs that use telehealth and mHealth. The senators wrote” A Medicare beneficiary’s access to the life-improving program should not, and cannot, be determined solely by the zip code in which he or she lives.” Read article here…
