Medicare recipients are paying more for adult vaccines

Per Avalere Health report, only 12% of Medicare Advantage enrollees have access to a set of 10 recommended vaccinations without having to pay out-of-pocket expenses in 2016.  It should be noted that none of the standalone Medicare Part D plans fully cover vaccinations including those for tetanus, Hepatitis A, of Hepatitis B.

While most private insurance plans are required to cover recommended vaccines at no cost to the patient, majority of Medicare beneficiaries do not enjoy this same level of coverage. Read the article here…..
