Frustrations in Rising Drug Prices

On Monday, The American College of Physicians, an association of one hundred forty-three thousand(143,000) internal medicine physicians have joined the growing number of organizations in voicing their frustration in the rising drug prices.

In an article published in Annals of Internal Medicine, they offer seven recommendations that would help control U.S. drug prices.  These recommendations include allowing Medicare to negotiate prices with drug makers, re-importing drugs from Canada (when they are sold at a lower cost); and have drug makers disclose the actual research and production costs of developing and manufacturing each drug.  Read the article here….
