Thoughts Into Movement

In this week’s issue of Nature magazine a profile of Ian Burkhart who was paralyzed in 2010 with some arm movement but no use of his hands, with a system of electrodes implanted in his brain, which allows him to control his wrist and hand with his thoughts.

Although the media attention has been focused on achievements of Burkhart’s there is still a long wait, possibly years, before we see the technological advances needed to help other paralyzed individuals. Read article here….
