Judge orders government to immediately broaden access to transplant organs

For transplant purposes, the U.S. is divided into 11 regions, which include 58 donation service areas. In general, each area has first crack at the organs collected there, only if, an organ is deemed unsuitable for all the patients in that area is it made available to patients elsewhere. Now, chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York, has opened a door to change how transplant organs are allocated. Read article here…
